“Baa!!”
After the sheep-headed beast spat out Buggy, its enormous sharp teeth opened as it tilted its head back to roar. Its lower body emerged from the surface of the sea, revealing its full form.
This creature was nearly ten meters long, with a sheep-like upper body and a fish tail—a standard sea beast.
Sea kings and sea beasts are quite easy to distinguish.
Sea kings tend to resemble non-mammalian creatures, such as fish, reptiles, amphibians, and birds, with a hodgepodge of characteristics.
Sea beasts, on the other hand, are more uniform, with a mammalian upper body and fish-like features in the lower body.
The ocean is truly magical. Although Sarg knew of the existence of sea beasts and sea kings, he was still taken aback the first time he encountered one years ago.
The sheep-headed sea beast leaped out of the water, baring its sharp teeth as it lunged straight at Sarg.
“Sarg!!”
Nearby, Lily exclaimed, drawing her slender sword and darting through the water like a swimming dragon, quickly rushing over.
No matter what, this was the captain she had just recognized; he couldn’t be in danger!
“No need.”
Sarg called out to Lily, his body exploding in a spray of water as he jumped out of the sea. When the sheep's head lunged, he stepped on the air, using Moon Step to dodge the attack of the sheep-headed sea beast.
Boom!!
A huge splash erupted beneath him as Sarg rose into the air, crossing his legs like stepping on stairs. Amid the splashing water, the sheep-headed sea beast emerged again, opening its mouth to bite.
Its speed was not slow; the speed of leaping out of the sea was enough to leave an average person unresponsive, but when its sharp teeth touched the bottom of Sarg's feet, they suddenly halted.
Not enough height...
Sarg looked down at the swiftly approaching sheep-headed sea beast, a cold smile creeping onto his lips.
A creature of this size could compare to a ship, but in the sea...
“Just a small sea beast!”
Facing the sharp teeth, Sarg's feet left a series of afterimages as he unleashed a barrage of light blue slashes, falling like rain.
“Storm Foot: Chaos!”
The North Dipper Fist also had ways to defeat such sea beasts. After years of training his secret meridian points, he targeted not just humans but all living things; everything has secret points. With careful observation after some entanglement, one can discover the secret meridian points even in non-humans.
But now that he had the Six Styles, why bother with such trouble?
Sizzle! Sizzle! Sizzle!!
“Baa!!”
The light blue slashes sliced through the sheep-headed sea beast's body, revealing deep gashes, and its blood splattered everywhere as it let out a wail. Its straightened body slammed heavily against the sea surface, floating on the water.
At that moment, Sarg landed on the sea beast's body and said to Lily, “Come up, Lily.”
Lily swam over, climbing onto the body of the sea beast. The seawater clung to her golden hair, pressed against her neck, and her wide skirt clung to her body, outlining her long, straight legs and firm curves, not to mention her upper body, which swayed with her movements.
True golden hair, great waves.
A sixteen-year-old girl...
Sarg glanced at her but quickly looked away, saying, “Lily, cut off some meat; let’s eat some seafood.”
Creatures of the sea are all considered seafood, and even this sea beast with a sheep-like upper body can be eaten raw.
Lily's sword was a fine piece, exceptionally sharp, glinting coldly under the light. As she prepared to stab down, Sarg instructed, “Don’t take the upper body; just cut at the waist, where the beast's body meets the fish's body. It’s soft and elastic, and tastes great.”
Lily followed his instructions, lowered her sword, and cut through the sea beast's skin, pulling out a piece of meat and tossing it to Sarg.
Sarg raised his hand to catch it, taking a bite, chewing a few times before swallowing, satisfied, “Mmm! Delicious!”
Lily used the blade again to pick up another piece of meat, not using her hands like Sarg but gently biting a piece off the blade. Her eyes widened, and she quickly began to eat.
It was very elastic but not difficult to chew, full of tenderness.
Lily rapidly finished the piece of meat on her sword and picked up another to hand to Sarg, then continued to feast.
It wasn’t until the sea beast’s waist and belly were nearly hollowed out that Lily stopped. She looked at Sarg, who was still eating, and said, “Sarg... I don’t quite understand.”
“Hmm?”
Sarg sat cross-legged on the sea beast, taking big bites of meat. “What don’t you understand?”
In terms of appetite, people in this world were not small. Even though Lily had eaten a small portion, Sarg had devoured the remainder.
Since practicing the North Dipper Fist, his appetite had steadily increased from childhood to now.
“Why are you so strong, yet so fixated on that dream? If you’re a pirate, shouldn’t you be heading towards One Piece?”
“Because the property prices back home are too high,” Sarg sighed.
“Ah?” Lily didn’t quite understand.
Sarg shook his head and smiled.
How should he explain? People from his hometown had an inherent obsession with land. Who wouldn’t want to own a large piece of land, a big house? After crossing over to this world, he had the same dream, which deepened into an obsession.
As for why...
It was just bad luck!
If he had possessed these things from the start, perhaps he wouldn't have such obsessions, but it was precisely because he had not that this obsession grew deeper, even starting to become twisted.
“It’s not a conflict!”
Sarg swallowed the meat in his hand, clenched his fists, “Since I’ve become a pirate, I’ll be dedicated to it. No one says the Pirate King can’t own property! I want to be a big landowner and the Pirate King!”
A young man's choice is to have it all, but only adults know that they can’t handle it. However...
A man remains a boy at heart until death!
“Let’s go; we need to find an island to rest.”
Having eaten enough and taken a moment to rest, Sarg stood up from the corpse of the sea beast and said, “If we don’t leave soon, the smell of blood will attract more sea beasts.”
He didn’t dare linger here; sooner or later, the corpse of the sea beast would be torn apart by more sea beasts. Before that, finding an island to rest was the best option.
Grabbing Lily by the back of her collar, Sarg used Moon Step, stepping through the air towards the direction Buggy had indicated earlier.
He didn’t trust his luck; he had to trust Buggy too.
Just the fact that Buggy had helped him catch a fish was enough for him to believe.
And this time, he wasn’t mistaken.
As night fell, with bright stars appearing in the sky, he truly spotted the outline of an island, which made Sarg's eyes light up. He sped up, bouncing through the night sky, moving closer to the island.
Now, he could rest at night!
As they got closer, Lily suddenly froze, pointing at a landing spot on the island, “Sarg, there’s a boat.”
A boat?
Sarg looked in the direction Lily was pointing and indeed found a boat on the landing area.
It was a small boat, similar to the little wooden boat Lily had used before, though a bit larger since there was a small cabin for one person to rest in. Next to the cabin hung a black sail, painted with a white skull with hourglasses on either side.
A pirate ship!
Sarg instinctively glanced towards the center of the island, where he could still see the flickering firelight.
“Great!”
He smiled, “Looks like we won’t have to sleep outdoors tonight. Who knows, we might even get some hot food and a drink!”
