Chapter 5: Call Me Flash Star

“Tony Stark!”

Bante gritted his teeth.

He never expected Iron Man to show up here.

“Yes, I am Iron Man. Do you know me?” A sarcastic voice came from inside the armor.

“So now even the zoo is showing the news to the little animals? Or is the zookeeper a fan of mine? Do you want me to sign something for you, little lizard?”

“Sir, I’m afraid this is not an escaped animal from the zoo,” Jarvis's voice echoed in Tony's ear.

“Thanks for the reminder, Jarvis.” Tony rolled his eyes.

The creature in front of him was clearly not any species existing on Earth, and Tony could certainly tell that, while Jarvis didn’t quite grasp some so-called sense of humor.

“So, sir, who exactly are you?” Tony casually asked.

He had initially planned to test the flying performance of the newly replaced engine, but instead, he found Bante transformed into Flash Star, searching for Dennis all over New York City.

Bante, relying on his speed, had no intention of hiding the existence of Flash Star at first, and in order to find Dennis, he had already beaten up several thugs along the way.

As a result, those people ended up flooding the New York police with calls, claiming they were threatened by a blue velociraptor.

The police naturally ignored them, dismissing it as drug-induced hallucinations.

However, Jarvis had scanned Bante moving quickly around the city while Tony was flying.

Tony was curious about who Bante really was, but it seemed he had no intention of letting Bante speak. Instead, he gestured for Bante to remain silent and spoke on his own.

“Lizard man? Dinosaur man? Standing velociraptor? Wait, is your name Bruce?”

“Oh my God, Jurassic World has come to life! I bet there’s a mad scientist trying to resurrect the prehistoric world!”

He shouted exaggeratedly, and even through the armor, Bante could imagine how arrogant his expression was.

Bante did not answer Tony's question; he just stared coldly at Tony with his triangular eyes. After confirming out of the corner of his eye that Dennis was still lying on the ground and hadn’t escaped, he angrily issued a warning:

“This has nothing to do with you, stay out of it, Tony Stark.”

Bante, who didn’t want to be a superhero, also didn’t want to get involved with Stark unless the other party was willing to pay for a conversation.

A few months ago, he had considered buying some stocks from Stark Industries when they dropped dramatically, but he quickly realized that even with the stocks plummeting, he still couldn't afford them.

“Nothing to do with me?” he retorted.

“A guy like you wanting to kill someone? That’s definitely my business!” he said coldly.

In his view, Bante didn’t even look like a human being at this moment.

Just a monster, isn’t it a natural enemy of humanity?

From the very beginning, Tony had already identified Bante as a hostile target; the reason he said so much was merely to see if he could extract some information from Bante.

This being, possibly an alien creature, might even have a whole race hiding among humans!

He raised his palm, and the armor had locked onto Bante; the light in his palm grew brighter, and his voice turned cold.

“Dino kid, raise your hands and surrender!”

“While I'm here today, don’t think you can hurt anyone!”

“Just you?”

Bante scoffed.

He didn’t even regard Tony as a threat.

Let’s not mention it; he was now Flash Star, and even Tony Stark couldn’t stop him!

“Come and try it!”

He took a starting position, and at the same time, a black metal mask slowly descended, covering his face, with a blue “X” painted on it.

He calculated the time and felt he didn’t need to ask the school for leave.

‘Five minutes left, kill that thug and deal with Tony Stark, I still have time to go to school.’

Although he couldn’t crack the Omnitrix, Bante found that his transformation time was more than ten minutes; last night, transforming into Little Sentinel lasted almost half an hour before he was forcibly reverted.

As a level twenty technological product, the Omnitrix shouldn’t require recharging after such a short time. In fact, the reversion was meant to protect the user’s genes from being contaminated by alien genes.

In the animation, Little Bante could initially only transform for about ten minutes.

Bante speculated that it was because he had gained spider abilities, which had led to a certain degree of genetic restructuring and enhancement; the alien genes inside the watch were not so easily assimilated.

Thirty minutes was currently his limit; exceeding that time would force the watch to revert his transformation.

However, Bante didn’t plan to completely disable the watch’s safety protocol.

After all, knowing that it was a protective mechanism and still wanting to break it wasn’t necessarily a good idea. Bante certainly didn’t think his wisdom could match Azmuth’s.

“You’ve pissed me off, kid!” Tony launched his attack without hesitation.

The palm of Mark 3's armor became heated, and two bright beams of light immediately shot towards Bante’s position!

“Boom!”

The power of the palm cannon was considerable; with just one shot, Tony blew apart the high platform built in the factory.

The part that was directly hit had been blasted out, leaving a large hole, and the remaining parts completely collapsed due to the resulting gap!

In an instant, it was like a landslide!

“Got it!” Tony couldn’t help but celebrate with a fist pump.

“Hope that dino kid doesn’t go down that easily,” he muttered proudly to himself.

After a while, he’d go to the ruins to find that kid and study him thoroughly, to see what that unknown creature was made of.

But Jarvis poured cold water on him.

“You’re thinking too much, sir. Your attack didn’t even hit.”

“What?” Tony raised his voice but didn’t care.

“Your joke was a bit too stiff, Jarvis. I’m only a few meters away from the dino kid; do you think anyone could dodge an energy beam attack at this distance?”

“Looks like I need to upgrade you when I get back, at least to know what real humor is,” Tony said, turning on rock music and shaking his head in mid-air.

“I’m not joking, sir, please look down,” Jarvis reminded stiffly.

Tony looked down, and in his line of sight, Bante was now beside Dennis, his sharp claws pressed against Dennis’s chest.

“Let him go, dino kid!”

“My name is Flash Star!”

Bante coldly pierced his claws into Dennis’s heart.

Bright red blood splattered, landing on Bante’s black mask.

The “X” stained red with blood was incredibly glaring!
