Chapter 10: Mu Yue: You’ve Got Rich!

Watching Mu Yue's incredibly swift and precise whirlwind kick, Might Guy's eyes lit up instantly, feeling as if he had encountered a dream-like technique that perfectly fulfilled all his martial arts fantasies. Simple, quick, powerful, and also very stylish.

"I love it! Please make sure to teach me this when the time comes!" Might Guy expressed his enthusiasm for the Leaf Whirlwind with great fervor.

"I'm glad you like it," Mu Yue replied with a smile and a nod.

Might Guy's reaction was expected; after all, this technique would eventually be developed by him, along with a whole series of them, including the Great Whirlwind and various Leaf Whirlwinds. It would be strange if he didn't like it.

With Mu Yue's assurance, both Obito and Might Guy felt extremely happy, and even the exam papers that usually gave them headaches seemed much more manageable.

"Watch me unleash my full power; this time I’ll definitely get more than four right!" Obito said excitedly, rubbing his hands together as if preparing for battle.

"I must get three or more right, or else I’ll run five hundred laps around the Leaf Village tonight!" Might Guy also grew serious about learning this dream-like technique and imposed self-restraint on himself.

He planned to challenge Kakashi to a match once he learned this technique, to see how much his strength had improved.

But the sudden enthusiasm faded quickly. After tackling a few questions, Obito realized something important.

If pushed to the limit, he might be able to unleash a bigger Fireball or throw five shurikens perfectly at the target, but when it came to the exam questions, there was nothing he could do, no matter how anxious he got.

He propped his head up with one hand while the other fidgeted with his pen in various ways. Frustrated, he couldn’t even stand the sight of the green leaves swaying in the wind, feeling as if they were mocking his inability to solve the problems.

Obito couldn’t help but glance over at Might Guy.

Although they had been classmates for over three years and shared a common friend in Kakashi, they had never really hung out together; their relationship was quite ordinary.

They weren't strangers, but they couldn't be called friends either; they were just friends of friends and coincidentally classmates.

When he thought of Might Guy, his first reaction was "the bottom of the class."

Although he himself was also labeled as the bottom of the class, Obito believed he was just a bit specialized; his ninjutsu and shuriken throwing were quite good, but his theory was particularly poor.

It was just that the other Uchiha were too impressive, excelling in every subject, making him, an imperfect Uchiha, seem like the bottom of the class.

Might Guy was different; he struggled both in theory and ninjutsu, with most of his subjects being at the bottom, making him the recognized bottom of the class.

But at this moment, Might Guy displayed even more patience than he did; even when faced with difficulties, Might Guy was still focused on tackling the tough problems.

Obito recalled a time when Might Guy had boldly declared after being ridiculed, "I believe that if I keep working hard, I will definitely become the strongest taijutsu ninja!"

Although Obito was not among those who laughed at him, he had also been skeptical at the time, not believing that Might Guy could become the so-called strongest in taijutsu.

But now his thoughts had shifted a bit; whether he could become the strongest taijutsu ninja was hard to say, but he would definitely be stronger than those who mocked Might Guy.

"Becoming friends with him might not be a bad idea," Obito muttered, thinking that together they could deal with that annoying Kakashi.

Seeing Might Guy continuously working on his problems, Obito also began to write furiously, racking his brain for answers.

Mu Yue, observing this scene, showed a thoughtful expression.

He hadn't expected that these two could create such chemistry together; the usually restless Obito was now influenced to calm down and focus on his work.

In the future, he could use similar methods to motivate Obito in his training.

After the two finished their work, Mu Yue helped them correct their answers.

Obito got three right, while Might Guy got two.

"Ah, still not four; I’ve done my best," Obito said, lying on the table, looking utterly drained.

"Tonight, I’ll add five hundred laps to my running," Might Guy incorporated the punishment for failing into his training plan.

Seeing this, Mu Yue comforted them: "You're actually only five questions away from passing, and you’ve only spent an hour improving by one question. Thinking of it this way should make it much better."

After some thought, Obito and Might Guy realized it made sense; passing and ninjutsu were within reach.

After offering them some encouragement, Mu Yue cheerfully pulled out two more papers.

Obito looked at the brand-new papers on the table and thought about the three weekends left before the exam, feeling a wave of dread wash over him.

But he could only pick up the pen and push through, because giving up now would make all his previous efforts meaningless.

At that moment, Shizui, having restored his chakra, began another round of Fire Release practice, with fire dragons dancing in the sky, catching Obito's attention.

"Teacher Yu Sheng, after we learn your ninjutsu, do we count as your disciples like Shizui?" Obito thought for a moment and asked.

"If that's what you think, then sure," Mu Yue replied ambiguously.

"Hehe, since we will be your disciples eventually, why don’t you teach us now, teacher?" Obito revealed his true intention.

Mu Yue gave him a skeptical look; although this was a result he had carefully arranged, the timeline seemed too short.

Obito patted his chest and assured him, "Teacher Mu Yue, this is definitely not because I don’t want to learn, but I think we can do both at the same time."

After saying this, he also pulled Might Guy beside him and said, "Kai, don’t you think so?"

"Teacher, I think Obito is right," Might Guy also wanted to learn the Leaf Whirlwind soon to challenge Kakashi.

"What if you don’t pass when the time comes?" Mu Yue did not rush to agree but asked in return.

"When the time comes, you can decide what to do, teacher. I’ll listen to you," Obito replied confidently about passing.

"I feel the same way," Might Guy nodded in agreement.

"Is that so..." Mu Yue showed a conflicted expression, as if he was still hesitating about something.

"Teacher Mu Yue, just trust me. I will definitely study hard with you and won’t embarrass you," Obito quickly continued when he saw a glimmer of hope.

"I will too," Might Guy also made a fist and promised.

"Alright then, I believe that you can keep your word. Once you finish this paper, I will teach you the Great Fire Dragon Technique and the Leaf Whirlwind," Mu Yue seemed to be convinced.

"Awesome! I knew Teacher Mu Yue, you are the best. I definitely won’t let your trust down," Obito said excitedly.

He felt that today was truly his lucky day; he had improved his theoretical scores and gained a powerful teacher—what a windfall!

"Teacher Mu Yue, I will definitely work hard to train your taijutsu!" Might Guy said earnestly.

He also felt lucky today to find someone willing to teach him taijutsu.

【Whether to establish a teacher-student relationship with Uchiha Obito】

【Whether to establish a teacher-student relationship with Might Guy】

Looking at the two pop-up messages, Mu Yue smiled in satisfaction. Yes, you both hit the jackpot.
